Frequently asked Questions

Today I thought I’d answer some frequently asked questions that we receive from customers. Whether booking our catering for a corporate event, wedding, funeral or party we find similar questions pop up each time, so I hope this post helps! What sort of food do you provide?

We provide cold fork buffets, grazing tables or afternoon teas. A great variety of types of food and menus to suit most budgets too.

Do you provide plates, napkins and cutlery?

We provide plates and napkins, but we no longer provide cutlery as standard (most of our buffets are finger food anyway so it isn’t always needed).

How do I pay?

We ask for payment by bank transfer if possible, but we can take cash or cheque if needed.

Do you take a deposit?

For corporate orders we don’t, we will invoice at the time of order and ask for payment within 30 days.

Events, parties etc require a 25% non refundable deposit to secure the booking, the remaining amount will then be due two weeks before. For funerals, we ask for full payment two weeks before.

What is your delivery area?

We are based in South Milford, near Sherburn in Elmet and cover all the areas local to here – Selby, Tadcaster, Garforth, Castleford and Pontefract and the areas in between. Depending on the order we may be able to travel further afield too, such as York or Leeds – we just need to check beforehand.

Do you deliver before the event starts?

Usually for parties, events or funerals we will drop off the food about half an hour before guests are due to arrive, so that it is all set up and ready to go.

Do you cater for those with allergies?

Yes, we can provide separate platters for those with allergies or dietary requirements. However, our kitchen uses and handles all main allergies (including nuts) so we cannot guarantee no traces of these at all, if the allergy is severe.

Can you provide staffing?

Yes we can provide staffing for events, this is really helpful for larger scale events such as weddings or funerals. We can be on hand to serve hot drinks (if we are providing them), serve and clear the food. There is an additional charge for this service.

Do you provide drinks?

Hot drinks can be provided by us, either served by us and waiting staff or left for guests to serve themselves. We can provide the drinks, cups and saucers, water boiler and flasks. Unfortunately we cannot provide soft drinks/bar service.
